Since it was established in 1945 according to the United Nations Charter, the General Assembly is one of the five principal organs of the United nations to discuss issues and develop policies among the state members for the peaceful resolution of conflicts or international issues that truncated the development of each one of them. The General Assembly; consists of 193 state members.
In order to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, it also looks for the resolution of alarming problems in the development of the international community, such as hunger, education, environmental care and violence. That is why this High-level Meeting of the General Assembly is called to resolve an issue that currently afflicts the whole community; the decline of opportunities for young people.
Topic A Improving Road Safety The Special Session of the General Assembly of MEXMUN 2011 should purpose and take action on viable solutions in order to decrease the number of deaths caused by road accidents. According to the International Red Cross it has been calculated that during the 20th century, almost 30 million people lost their lives in car accidents. | Topic B Violence and youth: bullying prevention There is an alarming increase in violence against youth, in which hundreds of children and teenagers are victims of verbal and physical abuse, regardless of their home country, culture, ethnic group, education or socioeconomic level .
